An audience of around 200 people attended Brigg’s Recreation Ground on 17th July 2026 for a performance by Illyria, the award winning outdoor theatre company. The play was As You Like It by Shakespeare and involved four pairs of soulmates who meet in the Forest of Arden. One pair leap straight into bed. Another are instantly struck by each other’s beauty. The third torment each other. But the fourth enjoy a courtship that is so witty and playful that Love itself is stretched to the limit. It was perfectly enacted by a group of enthusiastic and talented young actors who received rave reviews from the audience.
